Down to 3,733 new cases, Selangor still over 1,000

26 deaths take virus toll to 1,683.

Another 3,733 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 440,677.

Selangor recorded 1,278 cases, Sarawak 454, Johor 365, Kuala Lumpur 338, Penang 280, Kelantan 254, Negeri Sembilan 205, Kedah 176 and Pahang 100.

Perak recorded 80 cases, Melaka 66, Sabah 61, Terengganu 49, Putrajaya 20, Labuan six and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 37,060 with 416 in the ICU and 216 in need of respiratory assistance.

Thirteen new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Satu (Gombak in Selangor; 87 screened, 16 positive)
2. Lorong Tiung (Kuala Langat and Klang in Selangor; 150 screened, 25 positive)
3. Kawasan Industri Dua (Muar in Johor; 124 screened, 100 positive)
4. Tapak Bina Jalan Tun Hussein Onn (Seberang Perai Tengah in Penang; 276 screened, 51 positive)
5. Kopitiam Kampung Selamat (Seberang Perai Utara and Seberang Perai Tengah in Penang; 65 screened, 19 positive)
6. Jalan Stadium Negeri (Kuching, Samarahan and Serian in Sarawak; 55 screened, 17 positive)
7. Tebedu Mawang (Tebedu in Sarawak; 107 screened, 21 positive)
8. Sri Tualang (Pasir Mas in Kelantan; 90 screened, 27 positive)
9. Jalan L Sungai Behrang (Muallim in Perak; 28 screend, 17 positive)
10. Lak Lok (Besut and Kota Bharu in Terengganu and Kelantan; 115 screened, 26 positive)
11. Jalan Haji Mahmud (Johor Bahru and Kota Tinggi in Johor; 141 screened, 14 positive)
12. Tanah Merah (Port Dickson and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan; 151 screened, 41 positive)
13. Desa Murni (Seberang Perai Utara and Seberang Perai Tengah in Penang; 98 screened, 29 positive)

There are currently 436 active clusters across the country.

Another 3,211 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 401,934.

However, 26 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,683.
