Selangor logs 1,548 new cases as 3,744 recorded nationwide

Kelantan follows with 480 new cases.

Another 3,744 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 424,376.

Selangor recorded 1,548 cases, Kelantan 480, Sarawak 419, Kuala Lumpur 313, Johor 292, Penang 195 and Kedah 124.

Negeri Sembilan recorded 76 cases, Terengganu 73, Perak 65, Sabah 50, Pahang 49, Melaka 43, Putrajaya 11, Labuan five and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 32,939 with 328 in the ICU and 185 in need of respiratory assistance.

Twenty more clusters were detected:

1. Kampung Padang Lalang (Pasir Mas in Kelantan; 39 screened, 15 positive)
2. Jalan Sawit (Sarikei in Sarawak; 92 screened, 18 positive)
3. Tanjong Kibong (Sibu in Sarawak; 72 screened, 35 positive)
4. Sri Manjalara (Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 11 screened, six positive)
5. Persiaran Layar Perak (Johor Bahru in Johor; 257 screened, 13 positive)
6. Taman Pertama (Manjung, Kinta and Perak Tengah in Perak; 34 screened, 10 positive)
7. Kopitiam Machap Baru (Alor Gajah and Jasin in Melaka; 230 screened, 20 positive)
8. Mutiara Bentong (Bentong and Temerloh in Pahang; 91 screened, 15 positive)
9. Kampung Paya Ular (Pasir Mas in Kelantan; 120 screened, 41 positive)
10. Sungai Mas (Bintulu in Sarawak; 230 screened, 53 positive)
11. Mongkos (Kuching and Tebedu in Sarawak; 70 screened, 23 positive)
12. Jalan Dato Onn (Kota Tinggi in Johor; 49 screened, nine positive)
13. Tanah Putih Baru (Kuantan in Pahang; 233 screened, 26 positive)
14. Mahkota Height (Kuantan in Pahang; 136 screened, 11 positive)
15. Taman Medan (Petaling in Selangor; 320 screend, 27 positive)
16. Jalan Yaacob Latif (Cheras in Kuala Lumpur; 32 screened, six positive)
17. Persiaran Setia Prima (Petaling and Klang in Selangor; 271 screened, 27 positive)
18. Jalan Kukup (Pontian in Johor; 44 screened, five positive)
19. Seruling Dua Belas (Hulu Selangor in Selangor; 30 screened, 12 positive)
20. Jalan Damai Bakti (Cheras, Titiwangsa and Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 55 screened, 20 positive)

Fourteen others ended, leaving 411 active clusters across the country.

Another 2,304 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 389,846.

However, 17 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,591.
