New cases dip to 2,500

637 cases in Selangor, 401 in Kelantan.

Another 2,500 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 417,512.

Selangor recorded 637 cases, Kelantan 401, Sarawak 356, Johor 205, Kuala Lumpur 200, Penang 194 and Kedah 103.

Negeri Sembilan recorded 97 cases, Melaka 95, Perak 59, Sabah 57, Pahang 55, Terengganu 38 and Putrajaya three.

Nine more clusters were detected:

1. Lorong Galing (Kuantan in Pahang; 37 screened, 13 positive)
2. Jalan Dahlia Lima (Melaka Tengah in Melaka; 101 screened, 11 positive)
3. Bunga Raya (Kuala Muda and Kulim in Kedah; 31 screened, 10 positive)
4. Industri Mahkota 2 (Kuala Langat in Selangor; 1,350 screened, 121 positive)
5. Jalan Jati Industri (Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru in Johor; 140 screened, 26 positive)
6. Tok Has (Besut and Setiu in Terengganu; 128 screened, 29 positive)
7. Jalan Bandar (Johor Bahru in Johor; 197 screened, 18 positive)
8. Indera Mahkota Dua (Kuantan in Pahang; 562 screened, 16 positive)
9. Jalan Meru Utama (Kinta, Batang Padang, Kuala Kangsar and Larut, Matang and Selama in Perak; 75 screened, 40 positive)

Seven others ended, leaving 398 active clusters across the country.

Another 2,068 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 385,208.

However, 18 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,551.
