New cases top 3,000 again, Selangor still over 1,000

1,083 cases in Selangor, 522 in Sarawak.

Another 3,332 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 404,925.

Selangor recorded 1,083 cases followed by Sarawak (522), Kelantan (401), Kuala Lumpur (359), Johor (207), Penang (158), Sabah (131), Negeri Sembilan (111) and Kedah (105).

Pahang recorded 92 cases, Perak 91, Melaka 43, Terengganu 19, Putrajaya nine and Perlis one.

Active cases stand at 28,093 with 309 in the ICU and 147 in need of respiratory assistance.

Twelve more clusters were detected:

1. Bukit Rotan (Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam, Petaling and Klang in Selangor and Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan; 45 screened, 16 positive)
2. Sileng Dayak (Lundu and Kuching in Sarawak; 1,740 screened, 72 positive)
3. Kampung Pemanok (Machang in Kelantan; 53 screened, 27 positive)
4. Raub Jaya (Raub, Lipis and Bentong in Pahang; 270 screened, 54 positive)
5. Tabuan Jaya (Kuching, Serian and Samarahan in Sarawak; 252 screened, 22 positive)
6. Batu Lada (Kuala Krai and Machang in Kelantan; 191 screened, 21 positive)
7. Jalan Abdul Rahman Andak (Johor Bahru in Johor; 279 screened, 12 positive)
8. Jalan RP Tiga (Gombak and Hulu Selangor in Selangor; 128 screened, 46 positive)
9. Jalan Tiga Belas-Tiga (Petaling in Selangor; 164 screened, 14 positive)
10. Jalan Adika Raja (Hulu Perak and Baling in Kedah; 88 screened, 34 positive)
11. Kampung Parit Bunga (Tangkak in Johor; 18 screened, eight positive)
12. Jalan Pokok Assam (Larut, Matang and Selama in Perak; 38 screened, 14 positive)

Four others ended, leaving 378 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,943 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 375,340.

However, 15 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,492.
