Sarawak, Selangor still lead as 2,195 more cases recorded

Johor follows with 387 cases reported.

Another 2,195 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 375,054.

Sarawak recorded 508 cases followed by Selangor (431), Johor (387), Kelantan (332), Kuala Lumpur (176) and Sabah (112).

Penang recorded 84 cases, Negeri Sembilan 42, Perak 35, Kedah 30, Terengganu 16, Melaka and Pahang 15 each, Labuan six, and Putrajaya and Perlis three each.

Active cases stand at 19,854 with 219 in the ICU and 90 in need of respiratory assistance.

Five more clusters were detected:

1. Selat Klang (Klang and Petaling in Selangor; 101 screened, 25 positive)
2. Tapak Bina Cahaya Alam (Petaling in Selangor; 203 screened, 20 positive)
3. Jalan Perindustrian Satu (Muar in Johor; 980 screened, 254 positive)
4. Tarat Tani (Serian in Sarawak; 320 screened, 21 positive)
5. Jalan Bintulu Sibu (Tatau and Bintulu in Sarawak; 546 screened, 11 positive)

Fourteen others ended, leaving 338 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,427 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 353,822.

However, eight more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,378.
