New cases at 1,739 as Selangor leads 3-figure states

535 cases in Selangor, followed by Sarawak, Sabah and Penang.

Another 1,739 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 360,856.

Selangor recorded 535 cases followed by Sarawak (443), Sabah (127) and Penang (113).

Kelantan recorded 98 cases, Kuala Lumpur 96, Johor 67, Melaka 59, Perak 50, Kedah and Negeri Sembilan 40 each, Terengganu 34, Pahang 22, Putrajaya 11 and Labuan four.

Active cases stand at 15,574 with 183 in the ICU and 81 in need of respiratory assistance.

Eight more clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Kasawari (Kuala Langat in Selangor; 198 screened, 49 positive)
2. Jalan Desaria (Sepang, Gombak and Hulu Langat in Selangor; 193 screened, 13 positive)
3. Jalan Bambangan (Mukah and Dalat in Sarawak; 72 screened, 30 positive)
4. Jalan Badarudin (Kuching and Samarahan in Sarawak; 91 screened, 17 positive)
5. Jalan Zainab (Pasir Puteh, Bachok, Kota Bharu, Pasir Mas and Tumpat in Kelantan; 286 screened, 51 positive)
6. Nanga Kelangas (Julau in Sarawak; 57 screened, 37 positive)
7. Abak Bon (Miri and Subis in Sarawak; 175 screened, 34 positive)
8. Meruntum (Putatan and Penampang in Sabah; 72 screened, eight positive)

Eight others ended, leaving 343 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,216 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 343,953.

However, eight more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,329.
