Sarawak leads as 1,139 new cases reported

Sarawak records 332 new cases followed by Selangor and Johor.

Another 1,139 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 354,468.

Sarawak recorded 332 cases followed by Selangor (294) and Johor (102).

Penang recorded 93 cases, Kuala Lumpur 84, Sabah 60, Kelantan 38, Kedah 35, Negeri Sembilan 30, Perak 24, Pahang 23, Melaka 13, Terengganu 10 and Labuan one.

Active cases stand at 14,097 with 194 in the ICU and 86 in need of respiratory assistance.

Ten more clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Simpang Balak (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 90 screened, 20 positive)
2. Jalan Keretapi (Klang and Kuala Selangor in Selangor; 192 screened, 81 positive)
3. Sungai Kluang Empat (Barat Daya, Timur Laut, Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang; 444 screened, 33 positive)
4. Jalan Padang Benggali (Seberang Perai Utara in Penang; 127 screened, 42 positive)
5. Jalan Bangunan Kerajaan (Beluru and Miri in Sarawak; 171 screened, 37 positive)
6. Persiaran Indahpura Utama (Kulai, Johor Bahru and Batu Pahat in Johor; 36 screened, 11 positive)
7. Sungai Kawi (Meradong and Sibu in Sarawak; 224 screened, 127 positive)
8. Jalan Persiaran Putri (Kulai, Kota Tinggi, Muar and Kluang in Johor; 50 screened, 15 positive)
9. Tembok Choh Dua (Johor Bahru in Johor; 155 screened, 10 positive)
10. Highline (Kota Tinggi in Johor; 14 screened, five positive)

Ten others ended, leaving 354 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,199 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 339,067.

However, four more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,304.
