New cases tie with death toll at 1,300

1,412 recoveries, 189 in ICU.

Another 1,300 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 353,329.

Sarawak recorded 385 cases followed by Selangor (242), Kelantan (126), Sabah (112) and Penang (110).

Johor recorded 98 cases, Kuala Lumpur 87, Perak 61, Kedah 27, Negeri Sembilan 14, Pahang 11, Terengganu nine, Labuan eight, Melaka seven and Putrajaya three.

Active cases stand at 14,161 with 189 in the ICU and 88 in need of respiratory assistance.

Ten more clusters were detected:

1. Integrasi Rawang Tiga (Gombak in Selangor; 18 screened, 13 positive)
2. Jalan Badli Shah (Petaling, Klang and Hulu Langat in Selangor; 244 screened, 21 positive)
3. Jalan Maju (Sibu in Sarawak; 80 screened, 34 positive)
4. Jalan Kota Kubang Labu (Kota Bharu and Bachok in Kelantan; 318 screened, 26 positive)
5. Jalan Mega Industri (Johor Bahru in Johor; 41 screened, 21 positive)
6. Kampung Palekbang (Tumpat in Kelantan; 42 screened, 28 positive)
7. Taman Peruda (Kuala Muda in Kedah; 37 screened, 16 positive)
8. Kampung Belaoh (Besut in Terengganu; 81 screened, six positive)
9. Padang Hijau (Kluang in Johor; 17 screened, 12 positive)
10. Belacon (Lahad Datu and Tawau in Sabah; 196 screened, 17 positive)

Eleven others ended today, leaving 354 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,412 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 337,868.

However, five more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,300.
