New cases dip to 1,070

Selangor and Sarawak lead with 327 and 225 cases respectively.

Another 1,070 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 352,029.

Selangor recorded 327 cases, Sarawak 225 and Penang 133.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 88 cases, Sabah 65, Johor 55, Pahang 37, Kedah 34, Kelantan 31, Melaka 25, Labuan 17, Negeri Sembilan 12, Putrajaya and Perak eight each, Terengganu three and Perlis two.

Active cases stand at 14,278 with 180 in the ICU and 89 in need of respiratory assistance.

Six more clusters were detected:

1. Taman Komersial (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 23 screened, 14 positive)
2. Lorong Dua (Petaling and Kuala Selangor in Selangor; 332 screened, 41 positive)
3. Jalan Inovasi (Cheras and Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya; 49 screened, 14 positive)
4. Jalan Mata Kuching (Melaka Tengah in Melaka; 67 screened, 16 positive)
5. Persiaran Utama (Seremban in Negeri Sembilan; 90 screened, 18 positive)
6. Bukit Sera (Kuala Muda in Kedah; 18 screened, 13 positive)

Ten others ended, leaving 355 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,294 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 336,456.

However, seven more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,295.
