1,302 new cases, Sarawak leads with 426

Total confirmed infections in the country now at 341,944.

Another 1,302 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 341,944.

Sarawak recorded 426 cases, Selangor 256, Penang 212 and Johor 176.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 58 cases, Sabah 38, Kelantan 34, Pahang 32, Perak and Kedah 23 each, Negeri Sembilan nine, Labuan six, Melaka five and Putrajaya and Terengganu two each.

Active cases stand at 14,380 with 169 in the ICU and 76 in need of respiratory assistance.

Three new clusters were detected:

1. Ladang Sungai Pelek (Sepang in Selangor; 182 screened, 32 positive)
2. Patek (Kota Bharu and Machang in Kelantan; 331 screened, 63 positive)
3. Pagar Bukit Chagar (Johor Bahru in Johor; 174 screened, 52 positive)

Fourteen others ended, leaving 381 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,127 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 326,309.

However, four more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,255.
