New cases dip to 1,199

Total confirmed cases in the country at 340,642.

Another 1,199 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 340,642.

Selangor recorded 283 cases followed by Sarawak (267), Kelantan (138) and Penang (125).

Kuala Lumpur recorded 84 cases, Johor 81, Sabah 64, Negeri Sembilan 43, Melaka 36, Kedah 33, Pahang 30, Perak nine, Terengganu three, Labuan two and Putrajaya one.

Nine new clusters were detected:

1. Tapak Bina Bulatan Pandan (Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur; 108 screened, 14 positive)
2. Jalan Kong Kong (Johor Bahru in Johor; 154 screened, eight positive)
3. Inanam Taipan (Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Penumpang in Sabah; 25 screened, nine positive)
4. Jalan Putra Square (Kuantan in Pahang; 121 screened, 29 positive)
5. Jalan Gridbid (Miri and Beluru in Sarawak; 233 screened, 46 positive)
6. Jalan Tanjung Kidurong (Bintulu in Sarawak; 152 screened, 42 positive)
7. Kampung Baru Hilir (Samarahan, Tebedu and Kuching in Sarawak; 802 screened, 73 positive)
8. Gong Kulim (Pasir Puteh in Kelantan; 123 screened, 25 positive)
9. Jalan Kastam Baru (Lahad Datu in Sabah; 51 screened, six positive)

Ten others ended, leaving 392 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,257 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 325,182.

However, two more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,251.
