1,268 new cases as 3-digit figures continue in Selangor, Sarawak and Johor

Total confirmed infections at 336,808.

Another 1,268 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 336,808.

Selangor recorded 490 cases followed by Sarawak (141) and Johor (135).

Penang recorded 99 cases, Negeri Sembilan 59, Kuala Lumpur 53, Melaka 52, Kelantan and Kedah 49 each, Sabah 45, Pahang 43, Perak 42, Putrajaya six, Terengganu four and Labuan one.

Active cases stand at 14,637 with 161 in the ICU and 73 in need of respiratory assistance.

Four more clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Wawasan Dua (Batu Pahat in Johor; 56 screened, 24 positive)
2. Industri Permata Dua (Seremban in Negeri Sembilan; 334 screened, 51 positive)
3. Jalan Alam (Kuala Langat, Klang and Petaling in Selangor; 97 screened, 16 positive)
4. Chupak (Serian and Samarahan in Sarawak; 338 screened, 57 positive)

Eight others ended, leaving 395 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,083 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 320,925.

However, two more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,246.
