1,327 new cases take total past 333,000

Selangor, Sarawak and Penang record the highest case numbers.

Another 1,327 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 333,040.

Selangor recorded 356 cases, Sarawak 276, Penang 205, Johor 141 and Kuala Lumpur 115.

Perak recorded 55 cases, Sabah 50, Kedah and Kelantan 30 each, Negeri Sembilan 22, Terengganu 18, Pahang 11, Melaka 10, Perlis five and Putrajaya three.

Active cases stand at 14,518 with 154 in the ICU and 65 in need of respiratory assistance.

Five new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Permas Baru (Johor Bahru in Johor; 41 screened, 12 positive)
2. Jalan Gemilang Tiga (Johor Bahru and Kota Tinggi in Johor; 202 screened, 53 positive)
3. Tapak Bina Jalan You City (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 234 screened, 25 positive)
4. Bukit Tambun (Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang; 348 screened, 16 positive)
5. D Gana (Keningau in Sabah; 32 screened, 20 positive)

Ten others ended, leaving 416 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,247 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 317,289.

However, four more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,233.
