New cases creep to 1,671

652 cases in Selangor, 328 in Penang.

Another 1,671 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 331,713.

Selangor recorded 652 cases, Penang 328, Sarawak 154, Johor 130 and Sabah 102.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 78 cases, Kelantan 63, Kedah 46, Perak 37, Terengganu 32, Negeri Sembilan 25, Melaka 18, and Pahang and Labuan three each.

Four new clusters were detected:

1. Teluk Air Tawar (Seberang Perai Utara and Seberang Perai Tengah in Penang; 335 screened, 33 positive)
2. Perindustrian Pekan Nanas (Pontian in Johor; 212 screened, 39 positive)
3. Tanjung Genting (Meradong in Sarawak; 66 screened, 22 positive)
4. Pulau Pisang (Perak Tengah in Perak; 41 screened, 15 positive)

Ten others ended, leaving 421 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,585 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 316,042.

However, four more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,229.
