New cases dip to 1,354

Selangor leads with 577 cases.

Another 1,354 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 323,763.

Selangor recorded 577 cases, Sarawak 178, Penang 154, Johor 121 and Perak 101.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 55 cases, Sabah 39, Terengganu 37, Kedah 33, Kelantan 26, Negeri Sembilan 21, Pahang five, Melaka four, Putrajaya two and Labuan one.

Active cases stand at 16,279 with 158 in the ICU and 71 in need of respiratory assistance.

Three new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Tun Mutalib Tiga (Kota Tinggi in Johor; 469 screened, 10 positive)
2. Jalan Sutera (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 26 screened, eight positive)
3. Begalak (Sibu and Song in Sarawak; 335 screened, 49 positive)

Five others ended, leaving 424 active clusters across the country.

Another 1,782 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 306,274.

However, four more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,210.
