New cases continue below-2,000 streak as recoveries stay ahead

Another 1,575 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 320,939.

Selangor recorded 751 cases, Sarawak 173, Johor 135, Penang 132 and Kuala Lumpur 108.

Sabah recorded 57 cases followed by Perak (44), Kelantan (43), Negeri Sembilan (32), Melaka and Perlis (25 each), Kedah (23), Terengganu (16), Putrajaya and Pahang (four each) and Labuan (three).

Active cases stand at 17,074 with 147 in the ICU and 67 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,042 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 302,662.

However, three more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,203.
