Recoveries stay ahead as daily cases dip below 2,000

1,680 new cases, 2,548 recoveries.

Another 1,680 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 311,777.

Selangor recorded 826 cases followed by Sarawak (221) and Johor (139).

Negeri Sembilan recorded 89 cases, Penang 84, Kuala Lumpur 81, Sabah 74, Perak 68, Kelantan 35, Terengganu 22, Pahang 17, Kedah 11, Melaka 10, Putrajaya two and Labuan one.

Active cases stand at 21,159 with 172 in the ICU and 84 in need of respiratory assistance.

Four new clusters were detected while another 14 ended, leaving 478 active clusters across the country.

Another 2,548 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 289,452.

However, seven more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,166.
