New cases stay above 2,000 as 10 more deaths reported

190 in the ICU, 99 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,364 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 298,315.

Selangor reported 862 cases, followed by Johor (314), Perak (305), Sarawak (255), Sabah (157), Penang (155) and Kuala Lumpur (117).

Negeri Sembilan recorded 74 cases, Kelantan 68, Melaka and Kedah 17 each, Terengganu 11, Pahang eight and Putrajaya four.

Active cases stand at 27,028 with 190 in the ICU and 99 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 3,320 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 270,166.

However, 10 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,121.
