14 more deaths as new cases hover above 2,000

2,468 new cases, 4,055 recoveries.

Another 2,468 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 288,229.

Selangor recorded 932 cases followed by Johor (428), Perak (308), Kuala Lumpur and Penang (155 each), Sarawak (133) and Negeri Sembilan (100).

Kelantan recorded 96 cases, Sabah 94, Melaka 22, Kedah 15, Pahang 11, Terengganu nine, Labuan six and Putrajaya four.

Active cases stand at 30,475 with 196 in the ICU and 92 in need of respiratory assistance.

Thirteen new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Damai (Klang in Selangor; 95 screened, 18 positive)
2. Subang Tiga (Petaling in Selangor; 68 screened, 16 positive)
3. Jalan Serendah (Petaling, Sepang, Klang and Gombak in Selangor; 1,000 screened, 30 positive)
4. Tapak Bina Digital Lapan (Kulai and Johor Bahru in Johor; 464 screened, 133 positive)
5. Jalan Cyber Sembilan (Kulai in Johor; 199 screened, 12 positive)
6. Jalan Tebrau Pandan (Johor Bahru in Johor; 112 screened, 18 positive)
7. Jalan Wawasan 16 (Batu Pahat in Johor; 138 screened, seven positive)
8. Jalan Setiawangsa (Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur; 120 screened, 51 positive)
9. Jalan Bayam (Cheras and Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur; 128 screened, 13 positive)
10. Jalan Muhibbah (Betong in Sarawak; 110 screened, 18 positive)
11. Tapak Bina Jalan Ekar (Seremban in Negeri Sembilan; 170 screened, 50 positive)
12. Taman Mawar (Sandakan in Sabah; 15 screened, all positive)
13. Jalan PKNK 3/3 (Kuala Muda in Kedah; 255 screened, 40 positive)

Eight more ended, leaving 509 active clusters across the country.

Another 4,055 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 256,678.

However, 14 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,076.
