New cases stay under 3,000 as 13 more deaths reported

2,936 new cases, 4,889 recoveries.

Another 2,936 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 277,811.

Selangor recorded 978 cases followed by Johor (730), Kuala Lumpur (227), Sarawak (199), Negeri Sembilan (191), Penang (188), Perak (155) and Sabah (101).

Kelantan recorded 38, Terengganu 37, Kedah 36, Melaka and Pahang 26 each, Putrajaya three and Labuan one.

Active cases stand at 36,797 with 220 in the ICU and 104 in need of respiratory assistance.

Thirteen more clusters were detected:

1. Kompleks Perabut (Kuala Langat in Selangor; 287 screened, 21 positive)
2. Jalan Sementa (Petaling in Selangor; 115 screened, 12 positive)
3. Jalan Murni 12 (Kulai in Johor; 3,584 screened, 339 positive)
4. Jalan Kota Murni (Batu Pahat in Johor; 27 screened, 12 positive)
5. Jalan Indah Utama (Kulai, Johor Bahru and Kota Tinggi in Johor; 38 screened, 23 positive)
6. Jalan Tun Mutahir (Kota Tinggi in Johor; 124 screened, seven positive)
7. Parit Haji Khamis (Batu Pahat in Johor; 54 screened, nine positive)
8. Kejatau (Sri Aman in Sarawak; 92 screened, seven positive)
9. Jalan Green (Kuching in Sarawak; 148 screened, six positive)
10. Jalan Kuchai (Lembah Pantai in Kuala Lumpur; 365 screened, 14 positive)
11. Singgahmata (Lahad Datu in Sabah; 77 screened, 11 positive)
12. Bukit Petiti (Kuala Terengganu, Marang and Dungun in Terengganu; 40 screened, 15 positive)
13. Kubang Jambu (Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu and Marang in Terengganu; 69 screened, seven positive)

Eight others ended, leaving 511 active clusters across the country.

Another 4,889 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 239,971.

However, 13 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 1,043.
