Customers will be allowed to dine in at restaurants beginning tomorrow, subject to table size and physical distancing of one metre.

Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this will apply to all states regardless of whether they are under movement control order (MCO), conditional MCO or recovery MCO.

The two-person limit for cars will also be lifted in all zones, with number of passengers dependent on vehicle capacity.

“Taking into consideration the requests from various quarters, we (the government) decided to relax the rules.

“However, I would like to remind the public to practise self-control… it is also not advisable for children and senior citizens to be taken outside,” he said at a press conference on the MCO situation today.

Marriage solemnisation ceremonies will be allowed at mosques in MCO zones with a limit of 10 guests excluding the marriage official and witnesses.

Tourism-related establishments such as zoos, theme parks and recreational parks in CMCO and RMCO zones will be allowed to operate at 50% capacity.

Seminars, workshops, courses, conferences and talks will be allowed at 50% of the premise capacity, but not in MCO zones.

Officia and non-official government functions and social events will also be allowed in areas under RMCO. For areas under CMCO, such events are allowed but limited to 50% of premise capacity.
