Recoveries outpace new cases, death toll up by 13

Another 3,384 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 254,988.

Selangor recorded 1,082 cases followed by Johor (777), Kuala Lumpur (435), Kedah (228), Sarawak (184), Penang (144), Sabah (142) and Melaka (101).

Negeri Sembilan recorded 89 cases, Perak 82, Kelantan 48, Terengganu 26, Pahang 21, Labuan 14, Putrajaya seven and Perlis four.

Active cases stand at 51,783 with 259 in the ICU and 122 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 3,774 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 202,269.

However, 13 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 936.
