Death toll passes 800 as 4,284 more cases recorded

307 in ICU, 141 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 4,284 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 226,912.

Selangor recorded 1,572 cases, followed by Johor (964), Kuala Lumpur (651), Sabah (190) and Sarawak (148).

Negeri Sembilan recorded 133 cases, Kedah 124, Penang 122, Perak 106, Pahang 66, Kelantan 65, Terengganu 55, Melaka 53, Labuan 21 and Putrajaya 14.

Active cases stand at 48,309 with 307 in the ICU and 141 in need of respiratory assistance.

Thirteen more clusters were detected:

1. Jalan City (Sepang in Selangor; 112 screened, 48 positive)
2. Jalan Aman (Hulu Selangor in Selangor; 255 screened, 38 positive)
3. Jalan Pulai 55 (Johor Bahru in Johor; 58 screened, 42 positive)
4. Batu Tiga Setengah (Batu Pahat in Johor; 119 screened, 19 positive)
5. Taman Koperasi (Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 23 screened, 15 positive)
6. Kandi Sungai Besi (Cheras in Kuala Lumpur; 267 screened, 10 positive)
7. Ladang Tangkarason (Beluran in Sabah; 16 screened, all positive)
8. Bandar Lama (Tawau in Sabah; 56 screened, 24 positive)
9. Jalan Satu KKIP (Tuaran and Kota Kinabalu in Sabah; 194 screened, 30 positive)
10. Mayang Pasir (Timur Laut, Barat Saya, Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang; 217 screened, 47 positive)
11. Lebuh Karak (Bentong in Pahang; 170 screened, eight positive)
12. Tapak Bina Presint Tujuh (Putrajaya; 136 screened, nine positive)
13. Tembok Pengkalan Chepa (Kota Bharu in Kelantan; 511 screened, 76 positive)

Another five ended, leaving 412 active clusters across the country.

Another 3,804 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 177,794.

However, 18 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 809.
