New cases above 4,000 again, death toll up by 10

4,094 new cases, 3,281 recoveries.

Another 4,094 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 198,208.

Selangor recorded 1,577 cases of which 1,262 were from clusters and close contact screening.

This was followed by Johor (717), Kuala Lumpur (678) and Sabah (282).

Sarawak recorded 171 cases, Penang 99, Perak 94, Kedah 92, Terengganu 80, Melaka 73, Pahang 72, Labuan 55, Negeri Sembilan 48, Kelantan 37, Putrajaya 10 and Perlis nine.

Active cases stand at 43,192 with 303 in the ICU and 118 in need of respiratory assistance.

Nine new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Faizal (Johor, workplace)
2. Jalan Satria (Johor, workplace)
3. Jalan Dewani Satu (Johor, workplace)
4. Industri Peramu Jaya (Pahang, workplace)
5. Taman Mahkota Impian (Labuan, workplace)
6. Jalan Pakat (Selangor, community)
7. Indah Riang (Sarawak, community)
8. Kampung Kemansur (Pahang, community)
9. Jalan Kejora (Melaka, high-risk group)

Three more ended, leaving 372 active clusters across the country.

Another 3,281 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 154,299.

However, 10 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 717.
