12 more deaths, 260 in ICU

3,170 new cases, 2,490 recoveries and 16 new clusters.

Another 3,170 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 172,549.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 576 cases, followed by Selangor (545), Johor (423), Sabah (401), Perak (245) and Penang (171).

Kedah recorded 156 cases, Kelantan 135, Sarawak 132, Melaka 106, Negeri Sembilan 102, Terengganu 57, Pahang 48, Putrajaya 33, Labuan 32 and Perlis eight.

Active cases stand at 41,755 with 260 in the ICU and 103 in need of respiratory assistance.

Sixteen new clusters were detected:

1. Jalan Terolak (Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 16 cases)
2. Pasar Borong KL 2 (Lembah Pantai, Titiwangsa and Kepong in Kuala Lumpur; 20 cases)
3. Jalan Kelapa (Hulu Langat in Selangor; 21 cases)
4. Jalan Canang Emas (Klang in Selangor; 13 cases)
5. Jalan Sempadan (Johor Bahru and Kulai in Johor; 35 cases)
6. Tampoi Tujuh (Johor Bahru in Johor; 15 cases)
7. Seri Bayu (Kota Tinggi in Johor; six cases)
8. Ladang Sebrang (Lahad Datu in Sabah; 21 cases)
9. Silimpopon (Kalabakan in Sabah; 29 cases)
10. Taman Sejahtera (Kampar, Perak Tengah and Kinta in Perak; 35 cases)
11. Jalan Slim (Muallim in Perak; 26 cases)
12. Kota Muhibbah (Hilir Perak, Kinta and Manjung in Perak; 15 cases)
13. Mandin Jaya (Seberang Perai Utara in Penang; 29 cases)
14. Orion (Kuala Muda, Sik and Kulim in Kedah; nine cases)
15. Gunung Raya (Langkawi in Kedah; 11 cases)
16. Kampung Tanah Merah (Besut in Terengganu; 15 cases)

Seven others ended, leaving 327 active clusters throughout the country.

Another 2,490 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 130,152.

However, 12 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 642.
