Another 2,018 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 95,327.

Selangor recorded almost 60% of new cases at 1,204. Of these, 733 were from existing clusters, 263 from new clusters (Pekapuri, Batu Besar and Tower), 119 from close contact screening, 88 from other screenings and one from overseas.

This was followed by Johor (278), Sabah (247) and Kuala Lumpur (127).

Negeri Sembilan recorded 58 cases, Labuan 29, Perak 21, Penang 18, Pahang 12, Melaka nine, Kelantan six, Putrajaya five, Kedah three and Terengganu one.

Active cases stand at 16,496 with 109 in the ICU and 55 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,084 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 78,393.

However, one more death was reported, pushing the virus toll to 438.
