1,153 new cases, 5 new clusters

998 recoveries, one more death.

Another 1,153 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 91,969.

Selangor recorded 401 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (281), Sabah (199), Perak (82) and Johor (75).

Penang recorded 30 cases, Labuan 19, Negeri Sembilan 18, Pahang 16, Kedah 13, Kelantan 10, Putrajaya four, Melaka three and Sarawak two.

Five new clusters were detected: Keris Residence (Sabah), Brumas (Sabah), Tapak Bina Zuhrah (Selangor), Long Panji (Kelantan) and Jalan Timah (Johor).

The Tapak Bina Zuhrah cluster, a workplace cluster involving the district of Petaling, has seen 49 positive cases so far.

The Keris Residence cluster in Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran, also a workplace cluster, has seen 41 positive cases so far.

The Jalan Timah cluster, another workplace cluster in Johor Bahru and Kulai, has seen 26 positive cases so far.

The Brumas cluster in Kalabakan has seen 16 positive cases while the Long Panji cluster in Kota Bharu and Machang has seen 11.

Meanwhile three other clusters ended: Softwood LD (Sabah), Rajawali (Penang) and Besi Demak (Sarawak).

Active cases stand at 15,294 with 112 in the ICU and 56 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 998 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 76,242.

However, one more death was reported, pushing the virus toll to 433.
