1,335 new cases, almost 40% in Klang Valley

Two deaths take virus toll to 382.

Another 1,335 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 72,694.

Of these, 515 or 38.6% were recorded in the Klang Valley: 337 in Selangor and 178 in Kuala Lumpur.

This was followed by Negeri Sembilan (258) and Sabah (250).

Johor recorded 125 cases followed by Perak (108), Penang (31), Labuan (21), Kedah (17), Pahang (four), Melaka (three), Kelantan (two) and Terengganu (one).

Active cases stand at 11,039 with 126 in the ICU and 57 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,069 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 61,273.

However, two more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 382.
