Another 1,141 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 70,236.

Of these, 320 were recorded in Selangor, 320 in Sabah and 256 in Kuala Lumpur.

Johor recorded 69 cases, Penang 48, Perak 47, Kedah 24, Kelantan 20, Negeri Sembilan 15, Pahang 15, Labuan three, Putrajaya two, and Sarawak and Perlis one each.

No new cases were recorded in Melaka or Terengganu.

Active cases stand at 10,799 with 129 in the ICU and 53 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,144 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 59,061.

Eight new clusters were detected while four ended.

The death toll remained unchanged at 376.
