11 deaths as Covid-19 cases bounce up to 1,075

459 cases in Selangor, 310 in Sabah.

Another 1,075 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 69,095.

Of these, 459 were reported in Selangor, 307 of which came from clusters including five from a new cluster known as the Monsoon cluster.

Another 54 cases were from close contact screening, one imported and 97 from other Covid-19 screenings.

Sabah recorded 310 new cases: 59 from clusters, 156 from close contact screening and 95 from other Covid-10 screenings.

Johor meanwhile recorded 78 cases and Negeri Sembilan 52.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 49 cases, followed by Penang (43), Kedah (32), Perak (26), Kelantan and Labuan (nine each), Pahang (four), Melaka (two) and Terengganu and Sarawak (one each).

Active cases stand at 10,802 with 116 in the ICU and 46 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 948 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 57,917.

However, 11 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 376.
