The budget for the plantation industries and commodities ministry was passed in the Dewan Rakyat today, the third ministerial allocation to be approved by bloc vote following the committee-stage debate.

A total of 108 MPs voted in favour of the allocation, 95 voted against while 17 were absent.

The ministry had been allocated RM729.4 million in the 2021 budget.

The allocations for the foreign ministry and national unity ministry were earlier passed by voice vote.
