However, recoveries outnumber new cases at 1,148.

Another 1,109 Covid-19 cases were reported today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 61,861.

Sabah recorded 441 cases, Selangor 175, Negeri Sembilan 167, and Kuala Lumpur 154.

Penang recorded 64 cases, Perak 42, Johor 33, and Kedah 25. Kelantan recorded five new cases and Pahang three.

No new cases were reported in Putrajaya, Melaka, Sarawak and Perlis.

Active cases stand at 11,307 with 113 in the ICU and 41 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,148 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 50,204 or 81.2%.

However, two more deaths were recorded, pushing the virus toll to 350.
