935 new cases, recoveries surge to 2,555

Sabah accounts for 35% of new cases and Selangor 17%.

Another 935 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country past the 60,000 mark to 60,752.

Of these, 326 or 34.9% were recorded in Sabah, 161 or 17.2% in Selangor, and 158 or 16.9% in Negeri Sembilan.

Perak recorded 79 new cases, followed by Johor (60), Kuala Lumpur (59), Kelantan (28), Kedah (24), Penang (17), Labuan (13), Putrajaya (five), Sarawak (four) and Terengganu (one).

Active cases stand at 11,348 with 110 in the ICU and 45 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,555 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 49,056.

However, three more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 348.
