Another 970 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed cases in the country to 59,817.

Negeri Sembilan recorded the most new cases at 318. Of these, 301 were from the Bakti prison cluster.

This was followed by Sabah (293) and Selangor (115).

Perak recorded 80 new cases, Kuala Lumpur 44, Labuan 37, Johor 30, Kedah 24 and Penang 14.

Kelantan recorded eight cases, Sarawak and Pahang two each, and Terengganu, Melaka and Putrajaya one each.

Active cases stand at 12,971 with 110 in the ICU and 47 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,348 patients were discharged, the most yet, bringing total recoveries to 46,501.

However, four more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 345.
