Record 1,884 new cases, 1,203 in Selangor

Another 1,884 Covid-19 cases were reported today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 56,659.

Of these, 1,203 were recorded in Selangor, with 1,067 from the Teratai cluster.

This was followed by Sabah (289), Kuala Lumpur (196), Perak (81), Negeri Sembilan (41) and Kedah (36).

Johor recorded 15 new cases, Penang 12, Kelantan nine, and Perlis and Putrajaya one each.

Active cases stand at 13,842 with 115 in the ICU and 48 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 883 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 42,480 or 75%.

However, two more deaths were recorded, pushing the virus toll to 337.
