EC planning for possible election during post Covid-19 period

Law minister Takiyuddin Hassan says the EC has drafted a set of guidelines for the event of an election during this time.

Another 1,041 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, pushing total confirmed infections in the country to 53,679.

Of these, 402 were recorded in Selangor, 346 in Sabah, 121 in Negeri Sembilan, 68 in Kuala Lumpur and 33 in Johor.

Active cases stand at 12,854 with 108 in the ICU and 45 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 1,405 patients were discharged, the most yet, taking total recoveries to 40,493.

However, three more deaths were reported, bringing the virus toll to 332.
