Another 822 Covid-19 cases were reported today, pushing total confirmed infections in the country to 42,872.

Of these, 259 were recorded in Sabah and 225 in Negeri Sembilan.

Selangor recorded 178 new cases, Labuan 46, Penang 26, Kuala Lumpur 21, and Kedah 17.

Perak recorded 14 new cases, Sarawak 14, Johor 10, Melaka six, Putrajaya three, Perlis two, and Kelantan one.

Active cases stand at 11,497 with 86 in the ICU and 30 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 769 patients were discharged, taking total recoveries to 31,073 or 72.5%.

However, two more deaths were also recorded, bringing the virus toll to 302.
