Another 1,032 new Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 35,425.

Of these, Sabah recorded the most at 646, followed by Selangor (231), Negeri Sembilan (44) and Kedah (25).

Labuan recorded 28 new cases, followed by Penang (23), Sarawak (nine), Kuala Lumpur (nine), Perak (six), Putrajaya (four), Terengganu (three), Kelantan (two), and Johor (two).

Active cases stand at 10,339 with 82 in the ICU and 27 in need of respiratory assistance.

Six new clusters were also detected: the Sandakan prison, Dialisis and Sepanggar clusters in Sabah, Aero and Lengkuk clusters in Selangor, and Gading in Putrajaya.

Another 820 patients were discharged, pushing total recoveries to 24,815 or 70%.

However, eight more deaths were also recorded, bringing the virus toll to 271.
