710 new cases, death toll up by 10

467 patients discharged take total recoveries to 15,884.

A total of 710 new cases were recorded today, pushing the total to 24,514.

Of these, 528 were recorded in Sabah while 62 were recorded in Selangor and 39 in Penang.

Negeri Sembilan saw 37 new cases while Labuan had 19.

Kuala Lumpur recorded 11 new cases, followed by Perak and Johor (four each), Terengganu (two) and Kedah (one).

No new cases were reported in Putrajaya, Perlis and Kelantan.

Active cases now stand at 8,416 or 34.33% with 90 in the ICU and 28 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 467 patients were discharged from hospital, taking recoveries to 15,884 or 64.80%.

However, 10 more deaths were recorded – the most since the pandemic was detected in the country – pushing the virus toll to 214.
