260 new cases, highest since lockdown eased

Two hundred and sixty new cases were reported today, the biggest spike in numbers since the lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19 was eased under the recovery movement control order.

This brings total confirmed cases in the country to 11,484, of which 1,334 remain active.

According to a health ministry infographic, 47 patients were discharged, taking total recoveries to 10,014.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the virus toll unchanged at 136.
