Muhyiddin Yassin today said that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government remains strong and that he is the legitimate prime minister, following PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim’s claim of sufficient parliamentary support to form a new administration.

He added that Anwar must prove his claim through the process laid out in the Federal Constitution.

“Without this, Anwar’s statement remains a mere claim. Unless it is proven otherwise, the PN government remains strong, and I am the legitimate prime minister,” he said in a statement.

He also urged the people to remain calm.

“Insha Allah this issue will be handled well according to the legal process and Federal Constitution,” he said.
