MIC leader questions ‘fickle-minded’ Umno chiefs

MIC deputy president M Saravanan says the party will only decide based on discussions in Barisan Nasional.

Warisan and its allies will use three logos for their candidates in the upcoming state election, its president Shafie Apdal said today.

The three logos are those of Warisan, Upko and PKR.

The Warisan logo will be used by candidates fielded by Warisan, DAP and Amanah, while Upko and PKR candidates will use their own logos.

Speaking at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Shafie said for now, Warisan, DAP, Upko and Amanah would contest 66 of the 73 state seats with the remaining contested by PKR.

This means Warisan will run for 46 seats, Upko 12, DAP seven, PKR seven and Amanah one.

Shafie, who is Sabah chief minister, will be defending his Senallang state seat.

The 66 candidates fielded by Warisan and its allies also include former international trade and industry minister Darell Leiking and former tourism minister Mohamaddin Ketapi, both of whom will contest under Warisan.
