Pusat Kawalan dan Pencegahan Penyakit Amerika Syarikat (CDC) pada Isnin mengeluarkan panduan terkini yang menyatakan Covid-19 kadangkala boleh tersebar melalui penularan udara, lapor agensi berita Sputnik.

“Beberapa jangkitan boleh disebarkan dengan cara terdedah kepada virus daripada titisan kecil dan zarah-zarah yang dapat bertahan lama di udara selama beberapa minit hingga berjam-jam,” kata kenyataan itu.

“Virus ini mungkin menjangkiti individu yang jaraknya lebih daripada enam kaki dari orang yang dijangkiti atau setelah individu itu meninggalkan ruang tersebut.”

CDC berkata penularan melalui udara lebih cenderung berlaku di ruang tertutup dengan pengudaraan yang tidak mencukupi.

Amerika Syarikat melaporkan lebih daripada 7.4 juta kes dan hampir 210,000 kematian berkaitan virus pada Isnin, menurut data yang dikumpul oleh Universiti John Hopkins.
